Ea se ocup\u0103 de practici actorice\u0219ti din trecut \u0219i prive\u0219te istoria teatrului maghiar din secolul al XX-lea ca pe o istorie a artei actorului. Ipoteza sa este c\u0103, al\u0103turi de \u0219i dincolo de istoria teatrului de regie, pot fi conturate istorii ale actoriei la fel de pregnante, care au modelat teatrul contemporan din Ungaria \u00eentr-o m\u0103sur\u0103 cel pu\u021bin la fel de important\u0103. Prin patru studii de caz \u2013 analize ale crea\u021biei lui J\u00f3zsef Tim\u00e1r, \u00c9va Ruttkai, \u00c1rp\u00e1d \u00d3dry \u0219i Lili Monori \u2013 cartea \u00ee\u0219i propune s\u0103 demonstreze c\u0103 nu doar teatrul, ci \u0219i jocul actoricesc \u00een sine poate fi considerat un model cultural \u0219i c\u0103 istoria teatrului se transmite, chiar \u0219i \u00een absen\u021ba unei codific\u0103ri scrise, prin practica jocului actoricesc.<\/p>\n

This book, although rooted in a long-standing tradition, is also an experiment of sorts. It explores acting practices of the past and approaches twentieth-century Hungarian theatre history as a history of acting. Its central hypothesis is that, alongside and beyond the history of director’s theatre, it is possible to outline equally distinctive histories of acting that have shaped contemporary Hungarian theatre just as profoundly. Through four case studies\u2014analyses of the work of J\u00f3zsef Tim\u00e1r, \u00c9va Ruttkai, \u00c1rp\u00e1d \u00d3dry, and Lili Monori\u2014the book seeks to demonstrate that not only theatre itself, but acting as such, can be regarded as a cultural model, and that theatre history is transmitted, even without being codified, through the practice of acting.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
