About us

       Founded in 1992, the Universitaria Publishing House - Craiova has earned and consolidated its excellent reputation through a constant and effective presence in students’ education, combined with continuos support and dissemination of scientific research from Romania’s more prominent universities. We have edited and printed more than 400 coursebooks, treaties, dictionaries and monographs, authored by teaching and research staff, as well as more than 30 academic journals which are included in international databases.

         Our 30 collections include specialized works on various domains (humanities, technical disciplines, coursebooks and fundamental works in Philology, Economy, Law, Philosophy, Physical Education and Sports etc.), contributing, thus, to the advancement of cultural and scientific values at national and international level.

         Due to its reputation earned during the 28 years of activity, Universitaria Publishing House attracted numerous authors from all universities in Romania (Bucharest, Iași, Cluj-Napoca, Timișoara, Constanța, Arad, Sibiu, Pitești etc.), as well as contributors from prestigious academic institutions from abroad.

        Our prolific activity was honored by the collaboration with some of the most famous Romanian and foreign authors from various scientific fields while permanently supporting the academic journals’ indexing applications.

         Even since the foundation of Universitaria Publishing House - Craiova, in accordance with its Rules of Procedures, collaboration with authors is started only after two favourable scientific reports are submitted by our own reviewers or external renowned academic personalities (Associate professors, professors or 2nd degree scientific researchers).

          Universitaria Publishing House - Craiova has participated in all major book fairs of Romania (Bucharest, Cluj, Iași, Timișoara, Constanța, Târgu Mureș, Alba Iulia, Galați, Craiova etc.), and the Republic of Moldova (Chișinău), where it received more than 30 awards. At the invitation of the Ministry of Culture, Universitaria Publishing House also participated in numerous fairs and exhibitions abroad.
