The contemporary chaos and the word on stage

The contemporary chaos and the word on stage

This book offers a brief overview of a well-known text by A.P. Chekhov, "The Seagull", but from a more special point of view, that of the accents in the phrase. "The contemporary chaos and the word on stage" is a small part of the Ph.D. thesis with the same name. It starts by emphasizing the importance of this wonderful means of expression of the actors, which is speech, and then analyzes Chekhov's text, so that in the last chapter presents an analysis of the phrasing of two interpretations of the character named Masha. The justification for the path of this book is contained in the last sentence of the work itself: “Without the existence of a process of understanding and assuming the situations in the text, the actor's voice will remain the one of a civilian. That is why I do not support an exclusive vocal training of the actor, but one that entails him in every way, first of all being targeted his growth as a human being, which will attract his vocal development.”
