Scientific evaluation standards (peer-review)

At Editura Universitaria, we adhere to a rigorous operating regulation – since the publishing house was founded in 1992. The conclusion of a publishing contract takes place only after receiving two favorable scientific papers. These are prepared by experts in the field, such as university professors or high-ranking scientific researchers. The evaluation process analyzes the following fundamental aspects:

• The quality and scientific substantiation of the presented research;
• The novelty of the topic and the originality of the analysis models used;
• The relevance of the bibliographical sources and the technical rigor of the text;

How long is the evaluation process? The scientific referees analyze the manuscript within a maximum of 4 weeks. The result may be acceptance of the work, its rejection, or acceptance conditional on certain changes. In the case of revisions, the publisher facilitates the dialogue between the author and the referee to ensure the best final form of the text.

Signing the contract and preparing for printing

The contract with the author is officially concluded after the validation of the scientific papers. To recognize the importance of the peer-review process, the names of the referees are mentioned on the inside cover of the book. The author must submit the final manuscript in .doc format for technical editing services or .pdf if the work is already ready for printing according to our technical norms.
