The work entitled New Testament Greek. Koinē Dialektos is essentially a university course that is intended especially for the students of the Faculty of Theology, but also for other people who want to study the Greek language of the common dialect, the lingua franca of the Mediterranean, the original language of the Christian Bible and the means by which they spread the teachings of this new religion of the Roman Empire. This book appears for didactic reasons (and not only!) And aims to provide the general framework of the structures of the postclassical Greek language, which can be a sure basis for those who want to read the original of the New Testament. The work is an introductory one and does not require previous knowledge of Greek. Born from a long elaboration, the book appears at a time that promises to be critical for the study of classical languages. Knowing the classical languages means breathing "a little eternity". This textbook seriously sets out everything that needs to be known in the field of New Testament Greek grammar and, although relatively extensive, subdivides the subject into short chapters and paragraphs, thus facilitating access to what will be learned. It also adds to the traditional explanations an extra freshness, through concrete examples from the text of the New Testament, constantly taking into account not only the grammatical categories, but also the relationship between the concept and the biblical linguistic use. At the end of each chapter studied, the reader has the opportunity to test his assimilated knowledge by analyzing and translating some pericopes or biblical verses.
