The event with the Holy Apostles at Pentecost, together with the Holy Spirit, honours the whole work of God’s salvation in His Church. It is especially pointed out that the Church, as the “Mysterious Body of the Lord,” founded and preached to all nations, includes all who believe in Christ and confess “the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, the Trinity of one being and inseparable.” But in it is found alive and working the highest wisdom, in which those baptized in the name of the Holiest Trinity await “the resurrection of the dead and the life of the age to come.”
