The present paper “The priest in the liturgical and pastoral life of the Orthodox Church”, the doctoral dissertation elaborated by Priest Gheorghe Gîrbea, is structured according in a logical manner, according to the three sides or aspects of priestly activity: teaching, sanctifying and leading, to which is added a part concerning the priest's attitude towards the problems of contemporary society. The work is carefully presented, in a neat style, with an academic approach, simple and uncomplicated, which makes the present work easy to read and enjoy.
